Bluesmater finished
Finished a 100 watt Bluesmaster
Here are some pictures.
This is fast becoming my favorite circuit, Considering removing the FET and installing a 150K resistor to ground.
Getting the Clean and Overdrive channels to balance took a little bit to get, but it is a tone machine.
6L6GC's are Tong Sol
V1 Short Plate GE 12AX7
V2 Long Plate Mullard 12AX7
V3 JJ 12AX7LPS

That Bluesmaster looks awesome! The 6L6GC’s from Tong Sol should give you plenty of punch

Very nice!
I haven't ventured into Bluesmaster territory yet but that build is very inspiring!
I bet it sounds awesome!

Re: Bluesmater finished
Thanks everyone, this has become my new favorite circuit, Clean is great with a Strat, Tele, Les Paul, Overdrive is really sweet.
Considering changing the bright cap to 100pf or 250pf, cannot really hear a difference with a 47pf cap.
Added a 3.9k off of the Mid pot to try and tame the Boost as it is crazy loud, any suggestions for that? I saw in another thread where there a trimmer added to the mid pot, but I don't the value that was used.
My 124 clone is a great sounding amp has a set of matched Phillips 7581A, the 102 is also a really great amp, but this is something more.
Have another PT and OT, considering an EL-34 version with a UP on the clean channel.
I tried posting a sound clip, but the file is too large.

Thanks to Taylor for the chassis, and Jelle for some great resistors, they do make a difference.

Just a question... Did you set up the FET as per Martin's guide? If not, you may want to look at that and adjust what you've got before you get rid of it. The correct bias of that transistor makes a huge difference in performance... just sayin'. If you already did that, then kindly disregard my rambling.

I really don't use the FET input on my other amps with it, I know some like to use it when playing a Strat, I just run mine through the normal input.
I used to the two 9v battery method to set the bias on the FET, I believe that was from Martin, who is great guy, helped me with a Dumbleator I was building last year.
This is a great place with people who want to help you build a amp that you will enjoy playing.
Transformers are Heyboer and that PT has a 12V tap, which is really great, the OT is a Twin type with 4, 8 and 16 ohms.
Arlyn is a great guy I ordered some Dumblelator PTs from, same as Funk was using, great guy can't recommend his transformers enough.

Nice build! I haven't built a Bluesmaster, yet.
But I'd have to have an external OD tonestack. I couldn't help myself tweaking the trimmers all the time!
