You could build a standalone Dumbelator and connect to your passive loop later... I highly suggest you build that socket up with a cathode driver. It is some work, but totally worth it. It is my #1 recommendation for this circuit. I will help you with a board if you want... PM me immediately if not sooner!

To get an extra gain stage for OD?

No... Search the forum to find "cathode follower driver".

Thanks for the suggestion but I already built SSS#002 and I also have another 50W that uses a 12au7 for the cathode follower driver. I like the sound of the CF amps but I don't really need another one. I don't even need the Wonderland that I'm building now! It's becoming a problem...

Ok then... How about a Dumbelator? I have a nice point to point layout for it.

My experience is that adding a Dumbelator to the JM Sig is incredible. Sounds crazy good!

Absolutely. Also, makes a great boost with nothing in the loop. Begs to be footswitchable.

You could also build a box it later pedal dumbleator-style pedal instead.

Yes I'm going to put a dumbleator in it. I just want to put it before the reverb, which from looking at the schematic would involve adding a grid leak resistor to the V4-A (I'm using the 50W 'Wunderbar' Schematic).

Ryan, do you make a board for a tube Dumbelator?

Short answer - not yet.

I have a "stereo" Dumbleator II and boards but need to figure out a few more things before releasing. Specifically, I overbuilt the power supply to be universal for future Dumble/Fender/etc preamps so I need to drag the heater voltage down with a few load resistors. Just ran out of time at the moment..

Doing a regular Dumblelator should be easy. I'll add it to the queue!

Just wanted to share my wonderland/jm/fairfield county boards from my build using Pihers from FranciscoPerez and Dralorics from Jelle. I tried to match the resistor measurements as close as I could to what Ryan has on his diagrams. Thankfully some of the tolerance of the resistors made a close to match.

If anyone is interested I can post more.
