Hi, where did you get the combo cab from? Lover that suede color.

I built combo cab myself. I ordered the suede from United Leather in L.A. https://unitedleather.com/

Thanks, mad skills-well done. Are you able to tell me what particular suede you used and color?award70 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2026 8:20 pm I built combo cab myself. I ordered the suede from United Leather in L.A. https://unitedleather.com/

Sure, it’s their calf suede (under the suede and nubuck section) and the color is gray. I was able to cover the cab with just a half hide but it was close.

Hi guys,
I have a somehow odd question.
Recently I bought a Heathkit Electronic Crossover that uses a couple of 12AX7 tubes. My idea is to build a dumbleator on it.
I was wondering if it could be possible to use the extra tube to add a switchable overdrive stage within the loop. (I still have to reinforce the input and output impedance concepts but I think that there would be an impedance problem if I try to put that overdrive stage totally independent of the loop).
It would be something like Input ---> Dumbleator Drive Tube ----> Switchable Gain Stages (2) ----> Dumbleator Recovery ----> Output
I just mixed a couple of diagrams I found, you can check it in the attached image.
Let me know if this is the proper thread to place the question, I think is relevant from the standpoint of trying to add some features to the great Wonderland Design shared by Taylor.
If that OD addition is not a possibility, any suggestions on how to use the second 12AX7 (maybe an independent boost to the front of the amp?).
All the best.
