Deluxe Reverb Build
Here is my attempt to finish my Deluxe Reverb build I started in 2022. I took up a new career that has sucked up a lot of my time but now im able to get back to it lol. The original Platform is a mojoton DR build but when I started building i had a few friends want different amps so I built them then mine ended up stalled lol. ive replaced the orange caps with jupiter and sozo and F&T filter caps... ive finsihed eyelet board but then some questions came to me... Ive mixed some sozo blue with yellow jupiter in tone stacks... wondering if that is a good idea... maybe add a little complexity... also noticed on the mojotone kit orange caps, non were market for polarity or even referenced to that. but I saw on robbionettes page they were... which is more what I am following except I created the brass plate for grounding.

So in other words the down stream end of the cap should be the non banded end .
This outer foil then acts to shield the reviving type antenna action of the next tube grid.
In fact it’s best to mount the cap right to the grid of the tube socket.
This extends the plate lead and shortens the grid wires which can be the troublesome ones in any amp, and especially grid wires that carry the highest signal levels like the ones off of the PI tube.
Although it does not look neat it’s also best to have the caps used in the amps tone circuits mounted right on the pots.
This eliminates a good length of grid wire also in each channel and is one of the main reasons why amps built point to point with no parts / tag board sound so good .
And I see by your photos that you have some crazy long wires happening there, I guess you will be cutting a lot off I hope.
As far as mixing different brand coupling caps let your ears guide you.
The only other thing to keep in mind is that caps have a AC rating also which most times is equal to one half of there DC rating .
A 630 volt DC rating is more then enough for a guitar amp.

Thanks! yes I wasnt sure how I would be terminating the wires since first DR so I made them long and will be cutting off a lot lol I guess once I get it all done I will measure each length and make note so when or if another build Ill have exact measurements lol. I also had a phenolic eyelet board made which I ened up not using since I already had wired this one up. maybe that will be on DR 2 lol
