Dumble 2X12 cab on ebay

Post by txbluesboy »

Did you see this? Has some good pics for detail and size. Can't say if its real or not but it sounds reasonable. [uhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260404356921&indexURL=1&photoDisplayType=2#ebayphotohostingrl][/url]

Hi txbluesboy,

perhaps it would be a good idea to look again at all the great pictures of original Dumble cabinets Bill Morgan and Rob Livesey feature on their sites and compare them in detail.

Cheers

I can tell you pretty certainly that cab was built by Chad Mangrum from limited resistance, I own it's twin in Blue suede.

There are mounting holes between the speakers for a "Logo" and the Jack is the wrong type and in the wrong place. Aside from it not being an actual Dumble cab, it is a pretty exact replica, and mine sounds FANTASTIC.

Looks to me that if the cab measures 28.5" X 21.5", that the oval port measures 10" X 16.5".

I can measure mine if you like. Not that it is appropriate to mention this here, but I can get you the same basic cab in your choice of color/grill/piping for $350 plus s&h brand new.

Structo, Thanks for fixing the link. Guitarman, I just scaled it off the picture with my calipers using outside dimensions that I had seen posted earlier.

And if you have a spare $57K you can buy a nice head to go with it...

That ODS on ebay is supposedly Serial number #201 - "purchased from a dealer in LA" is the only info I was able to get. Doesn't look like a hijacked account, as the feedback shows a pretty long history of buying and selling other musical gear. Same seller has some other high priced vintage stuff for sale as well.
