I don't think that AB2 operation would be feasible if the power tubes were cathode biased; no reason it shouldn't sound fine though.stephenl wrote:Would this circuit also work in a cathode biased PA?

Would there be any problem using the CFD with a cathodyne PI? As in a Princeton AA1164?

Should be fine. The power stage is AC coupled same as it is with the LTP.
